Job Description
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a school district supports students' communication skills so they can succeed academically and socially. They assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. SLPs develop individualized education programs (IEPs), provide therapy services, collaborate with teachers and families, and track student progress. They also help students with social communication and may support feeding or swallowing needs when relevant.
