Job Description
$2,500 Sign-On Bonus!
BHSC has an opening for a Speech Supervisor within our Contracts department. This is a full time, year round position that will involve regular travel to various school contract sites.
Now offering a $2,500 sign-on bonus!
$1,250 paid upon hire
$1,250 paid after 6 months of employment
The Contract Speech Supervisor manages services in BHSC's contract sites to ensure quality, excellence in staff training, productivity monitoring, and paperwork/policy compliance.
Essential Functions
- Collaborates with program directors, supervisors, and contract administrators to achieve the highest level of customer service by optimizing work efficiency and effectiveness of supervised staff, as well as ensuring appropriate staffing, scheduling and coverage.
- Works with other departments within BHSC to implement/change procedures, meet customer needs and collaborate.
- Monitors accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of paperwork according to standards required depending on location and conducts regular audits of paperwork to ensure quality.
- Updates contract policy and procedures as indicated and ensures policies and procedures are followed by staff.
- Supervises CFYs appropriately, or assists others who are supervising CFYs, ensuring legal guidelines and agency policies are precisely followed.
- Trains and mentors all staff on ongoing basis clinically and procedurally.
- Interviews and hires clinicians as needed.
- Any other duty as requested by your supervisor.
Skills
- Skilled in Speech Language Pathology practices
- Display all Supervisor behavioral competencies
- Ability to influence a group to complete a common goal
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Education Required
- Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited University
Experience Required
- Minimum 2.5 years experience as a speech language pathologist
Required License and Certification
- New York State licensed Speech Language Pathologist
- American Speech Language Hearing Association Certification
- New York State TSSLD Certification, or Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped
