Job Description
ACES is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. The ACES Speech and Language Services department is hiring SLPAs to provide short-term or long-term school-based coverage in ACES member school districts. Services would be provided under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Join a dynamic team of educators working with ACES partnering districts. Successful candidates will possess a desire to work in a school setting, be adaptable to a variety of school settings, and be able to communicate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team, parents, and supervisors. Primary Performance Responsibilities
- Provide direct therapy services addressing speech and language treatment goals developed by the supervising SLP for the students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Assisting the SLP during students' assessments and/or administering and scoring assessment tools, exclusive of clinical interpretation.
- Developing and implementing activities and materials for teaching and practice of skills to address goals of the student developed by the supervising SLP.
- Collect ongoing student performance data and report information to the supervising SLP.
- Provide treatment through a variety of service delivery models (i.e., individual, group, classroom-based) as directed by the supervising SLP.
- Consult with school teams to assist in meeting the needs of specific students.
