The Sheridan County YMCA is looking for energetic, positive, and dependable individuals who are passionate about working with youth through sports. As a Youth Sports Assistant, you'll help create a fun, safe, and encouraging environment where kids learn teamwork, sportsmanship, confidence, and healthy habits.

What You'll Do
- Supervise youth participants in sports leagues for Pre-K through Junior High.
- Help set up and clean up sports facilities and equipment.
- Officiate games and lead age-appropriate activities.
- Assist with YMCA summer sports and science camps.
- Ensure a safe, welcoming, and positive experience for every participant.
- Build positive relationships with youth, families, volunteers, and fellow staff.
- Follow YMCA safety, child protection, and emergency procedures.
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Is at least 18 years old.
- Has reliable transportation to program locations.
- Has access to a phone or other communication device.
- Enjoys working with children and serving the community.
- Has experience with basketball, soccer, youth camps, or other youth sports (preferred).
- Can work both indoors and outdoors.
- Is able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Is dependable, enthusiastic, and a positive role model.
Training Provided
The YMCA provides required training, including:
- CPR & First Aid
- Child Abuse Prevention
- Emergency & Alarm Procedures
- Abuse Risk Management
