Job Description

Under general direction, implements, conducts, teaches and monitors sport performance programs; assists with rehabilitation of injured student-athletes; assists in management of sports performance center; effective daily communication with athletic trainers and staff of assigned sport teams; compliance with NCAA, Atlantic 10 and university rules and regulations; and other duties as assigned.
Job Duties:
Assist with the design, development and implementation of Sport Performance programs for assigned intercollegiate athletic sport teams.
Assist with performance testing of student-athletes.
Required to keep accurate and up-to-date records.
Assist with cleaning, maintaining and organizing the weight room facility.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proven ability to work independently, prioritize, and complete tasks in a timely manner.
Excellent communication skills required for working with diverse groups.
Strong written communication skills; excellent organizational skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
Demonstrated appreciation for diversity and inclusion.
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Knowledge of the techniques and programs necessary for a successful sports-specific sports performance program using Olympic lifting, functional training and alternative training techniques and methodologies
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and CSCS or equivalent national certification with two (2) years of experience as a certified sports performance coach in competitive athletics at the professional or collegiate level; ability to work non-traditional hours including nights and weekends
First Aid and CPR certified
