JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position works out of ourAustin, TX location in the Cardiac Rhythm Management division. As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats.

We are seeking a high caliber US Field Sr Inventory Analyst.  The roles primary focus will be leading key initiatives to streamline field activities.  These initiatives will have a measurable impact on field applied hours and cost burden while requiring leadership across many business functions.  Working in partnership with the supply chain, commercial, and customer service teams, this role will also be responsible for managing inventory within the US field.  Responsible for the efficient flow of inventory between the distribution center and accounts, in alignment with customer needs and organizational policies.  This role will proactively monitor and analyze field inventory to ensure optimization as well as adherence to the US field inventory policy.  The focus is driving measurable cost-efficiency improvements (Inventory Levels, Scrap and Freight) while improving service levels.  This role also interprets and implements USD specific policies and procedures to accomplish assignments.

What You’ll Work On

  • Lead the development, execution, and continuous improvement of field inventory management processes and tools in partnership with Supply Chain, Customer Service, Sales, and Commercial Leadership. This includes transactional processes, documentation, reporting, training, and support of inventory management applications.

  • Own inventory optimization strategies focused on improving inventory productivity while minimizing expenses, including scrap, excess inventory, and obsolescence.

  • Partner with sales management, sales representatives, and internal leadership to establish inventory targets and drive successful execution of inventory optimization initiatives, product rerouting, and phase-in/phase-out projects.

  • Serve as the primary inventory management point of contact for new product launches, collaborating cross-functionally to ensure inventory readiness, deployment strategies, and successful market introductions.

  • Lead critical inventory-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives, including cycle count process enhancements, scrap reduction efforts, automation opportunities, and inventory control improvements.

  • Lead the field cycle count program, including planning, execution, compliance monitoring, discrepancy resolution, reporting, and recommendations to improve inventory accuracy and accountability.

  • Spend time in the field with sales personnel to understand business needs, evaluate current inventory practices, identify improvement opportunities, and strengthen business partnerships.

  • Proactively monitor and maintain inventory levels in partnership with sales and internal stakeholders while providing data-driven recommendations to optimize inventory performance.

  • Ensure sales representatives are informed of inventory management policies, consignment return procedures, cycle count requirements, and organizational processes.

  • Implement Use Before Date (UBD) policies and inventory rotation initiatives, including field notifications, commission adjustments, reporting, and communication of inventory health metrics to sales leadership.

  • Develop, maintain, and analyze internal and external inventory reporting, including UBD compliance, cycle count performance, inventory health metrics, scrap reporting, inventory utilization, and executive-level dashboards.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (± 16 years) in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field required

  • Minimum 4+ years relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to perform intermediate capability in Microsoft Excel and SAP/Business Objects strongly preferred.

  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.

  • Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.

  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.

  • Ability to travel

  • Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred.

  • Knowledge of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system or Material Requirements Planning (MRP) preferred.

The base pay for this position is

$68,000.00 – $136,000.00
