Job Description

Experience in Insurance P&C domain, Knowledge in Snowflake in writing queries for data extraction, Rally. Claims experience is preferred

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with strong expertise in the Insurance Property & Casualty (P&C) domain. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with Claims processes, strong data analysis capabilities using Snowflake (SQL queries), and experience working in an Agile environment using Rally.

The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to analyze requirements, extract data insights, and support delivery of insurance claims-related initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Gather, analyze, and document business requirements (BRD, FRD, User Stories).
Work closely with Claims business stakeholders to understand end-to-end claim lifecycle.
Write and execute Snowflake SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and analysis.
Perform data analysis to support business decisions and reporting needs.
Translate business requirements into functional specifications.
Collaborate with development and QA teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Use Rally for user story creation, backlog grooming, sprint tracking, and reporting.
Support UAT, defect analysis, and production issue resolution.
Ensure compliance with insurance regulatory and business standards.

Required Qualifications

7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
Strong experience in Insurance Property & Casualty (P&C) domain.
Hands-on experience in Claims processing.
Strong SQL knowledge with hands-on experience writing queries in Snowflake.
Experience working in Agile methodology using Rally.
Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
Ability to work in a hybrid environment (Charlotte, NC).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Claims system modernization initiatives.
Exposure to insurance data models.
Experience working with data warehouses and reporting tools.
Prior experience in large enterprise insurance environments.
