Job Description
Sr. DevOps Engineer Chicago - Onsite About The Role: As our Senior DevOps Engineer, you'll partner with the Head of DevOps and a skilled engineering team to advance automation and strengthen our DevOps ecosystem. You'll build internal tools, optimize workflows, enhance monitoring, and improve our continuous delivery pipeline. What You'll Do: Serve as primary client liaison, ensuring seamless project delivery. Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues with speed and precision. Build and maintain robust system monitoring for performance and uptime. Design and implement scalable, tech-driven solutions. Automate processes with scripting to boost efficiency. Manage Linux environments, SSH tunneling, DNS, and networking; provision infrastructure with Terraform. Integrate monitoring, logging, alerting, and tracing across services. Oversee deployments across dev, staging, sandbox, and production. Deliver DevOps support and automation for smooth releases. Architect secure, scalable infrastructure; define best practices for Docker and Kubernetes. What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in CS, Math, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years in DevOps/SRE with strong proven hands-on expertise. 5–7 years of hands-on technical work. Designed high-availability databases and large-scale systems. Built microservices, automated deployments, and managed infrastructure. Proficient in Python, Golang, or JavaScript; skilled in Bash/PowerShell scripting. Developed CI/CD pipelines and internal package repositories. Experienced with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, DataDog, New Relic). Strong communicator, highly organized, and proactive in fast-paced environments. OOJ-1446G
