Sr. Data Analyst
Location: NYCHybrid/Remote/Onsite: Remote | Due to occasional client travel candidates must be in NY, NJ, CT, or PA.
Duration: 6 month renewable Contract
We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst – AI Enablement to support enterprise data strategy and architecture initiatives focused on enabling AI and agentic capabilities. This role will analyze current-state data environments, identify capability gaps and dependencies, define future-state requirements, and support development of data transformation roadmaps. The ideal candidate combines strong data analysis skills with an understanding of enterprise data architecture, modern data platforms, and the data capabilities required to support AI solutions. Key Responsibilities- Assess current-state data architecture, platforms, data flows, and data ecosystems.
- Document data capabilities, gaps, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Analyze metadata, Master Data Management (MDM), data access, APIs, and integration capabilities.
- Evaluate cloud and enterprise data platforms supporting AI use cases.
- Define data and architecture requirements for AI and agentic solutions.
- Perform capability mapping and dependency analysis across data platforms and systems.
- Translate business and technology needs into clear data requirements.
- Support future-state data architecture and capability planning.
- Develop recommendations, priorities, and roadmaps for data modernization and AI enablement.
- Synthesize complex findings into clear documentation and executive-ready materials.
- Collaborate with data architects, AI teams, technology leaders, and business stakeholders.
- 7+ years of experience in data analysis, data strategy, data architecture, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of enterprise data strategy and data architecture.
- Experience performing current-state assessments and documenting complex data environments.
- Strong knowledge of data flows, data integration, APIs, metadata, and MDM.
- Experience with cloud data platforms and modern data architectures.
- Understanding of data requirements supporting AI, GenAI, or agentic AI solutions.
- Experience with capability mapping, gap analysis, and dependency analysis.
- Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills.
- Experience contributing to future-state roadmaps and transformation initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to structure, synthesize, and communicate complex information.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and presentation skills.
- Financial services experience.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting enterprise data transformation or modernization programs.
- Familiarity with data governance, data quality, lineage, and data access frameworks.
- Exposure to AI/GenAI data architecture or enterprise AI enablement initiatives.
