The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing. This role involves providing comprehensive legal support to clients, ensuring compliance with real estate laws and regulations, and managing complex transactions.Key Responsibilities:
- Transactional Work: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial real estate contracts, including purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, and financing documents.
- Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence, including reviewing title reports, surveys, environmental assessments, and zoning laws to ensure compliance with transaction terms.
- Client Advising: Provide legal advice to clients on all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including risk mitigation and deal structuring.
- Litigation Support: Represent clients in real estate litigation, such as disputes over leases, property rights, or transaction terms.
- Coordination: Collaborate with other attorneys, real estate agents, and involved parties to facilitate smooth transactions.
- Legal Research: Research and analyze complex legal issues related to commercial real estate and stay updated on changes in real estate laws and regulations.
- Documentation: Prepare and file legal documents with relevant authorities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in the Florida Bar.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate law, with a proven track record in handling complex transactions.
- Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and document management software.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and meet deadlines
