Our prestigious law firm is seeking a seasoned Senior Attorney specializing in Public Entity Defense to join our dedicated team. This full-time, permanent position offers a unique opportunity to work on a variety of cases involving municipal law, government, and municipalities, land use, labor and employment. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of public entity defense, with a focus on providing high-quality legal advice and representation to our clients. Responsibilities:
As a Senior Attorney, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Providing expert legal counsel to public entities, including municipalities, government agencies, and other public organizations.
- Representing clients in litigation and other legal proceedings involving land use, labor and employment, and other areas of municipal law.
- Developing and implementing comprehensive legal strategies to protect the interests of our clients and achieve their legal objectives.
- Conducting in-depth legal research and analysis to support case preparation and legal strategy development.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Advising clients on compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates on case progress and legal developments.
- Collaborating with other members of our legal team to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Attorney position will have the following qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in public entity defense, with a focus on municipal law, government, and municipalities, land use, labor and employment.
- Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
- Proven experience representing clients in litigation and other legal proceedings.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to public entities.
- Excellent research, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, but also a strong team player.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and projects, with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
