Senior Manager, Global Data Collection

This role is to be based near one of our offices in New York City, Los Angeles, Oakland or Austin.

Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Manager for our Global Data Collection team. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual, who thrives on fostering team spirit, driving process improvement, taking initiative for change, and enforcing quality control. The candidate will be expected to demonstrate superior problem-solving abilities, stay informed, and share knowledge with the team.

Responsibilities:

Enhance Collaboration and Foster Positive Morale: The candidate will contribute to a positive team environment by actively participating in company-wide processes, promoting team unity, and aligning with our company vision and mission.

Identify and Drive Process Improvement: The candidate will proactively identify inefficiencies and bring innovative ideas for process improvement. They will ensure effective implementation of these ideas and their tangible business impact.

Take Initiative and Drive Change: The candidate will work closely with their manager, GDC leaders, programmers, and other support groups to identify opportunities for improving data collection processes.

Enforce and Enhance Data Quality: The candidate will ensure the consistent implementation of Material's data quality procedures across all studies and enforce high-quality standards.

Proactively Identify Problems and Offer Solutions: The candidate will be adept at identifying potential problems and offering solutions, drawing upon past experiences and the expertise of others.

Stay Informed and Share Knowledge: The candidate will conduct thorough secondary research, apply acquired knowledge effectively, and share findings with the team to foster continuous improvement.

Contribute to Study Execution: The candidate will review study documents, establish effective progress reporting mechanisms, and contribute valuable insights and recommendations.

Excel as a Project Manager: The candidate will generate timely progress reports, provide data collection analysis, manage costs effectively, and act as a thought partner.

Communication: The candidate will effectively formulate and deliver clear and precise information in a timely manner.

Strengthen Collaboration with GDC and Project Staff: The candidate will maintain strong relationships with GDC and project team members, fostering a collaborative environment and a "can do" attitude.

Maintain strong vendor relationships: The candidate will negotiate competitive prices with vendors, cultivate friendly relationships, and explore new vendor options.

Stay updated on various technologies: The candidate will stay updated on new developments in data collection technologies and demonstrate proficiency in Dimensions/Decipher and Microsoft Excel.

Provide accurate and comprehensive bids for all methodologies: The candidate will understand client requirements, offer optimal data collection solutions, and present clear and precise bids that reflect a comprehensive understanding of project requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in data collection, market research, or related field
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong communication skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong understanding of data quality procedures
  • Strong understanding of new data collection technologies
  • Strong user of Dimensions/Decipher and Excel

Pay Range: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00

The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Material. Actual range for this position may differ, depending on location and specific skillset required for the work itself.
