Sr. Program Manager, Tech - Workday Workforce Management - Seattle, WA (Hybrid)

Nordstrom has an exciting opportunity ontheHR Operations& AnalyticsProgram Managementteam for a Senior Program Manager, Tech  to drive initiatives that deliver significant value to Nordstrom and ouremployees. Therolereports to theSr Manager, Program Mgmt for Tech HR Ops & Analytics.Our teamis responsible fordelivering on the Nordstrom vision to be as renowned for ouremployeeexperience as we are for our customer experience.As a Sr. Program Mgr, Tech, you will work closely withcross-functionalteams to develop, design, build, and launch technology solutions in support of this vision,specifically by supportingworkforce managementsystemsanddrivingenablementof AI technologies across HR.

A day in the life…

• Consult internal partners on effectiveutilizationof technology to support their processes

• Support Workforce Management teams by enabling andoptimizingWorkday Scheduling and Labor Optimization tools

• Partner withnon-technical and technical stakeholdersto support initiatives connected to artificial intelligence, including evaluating AI-driven tools and enabling responsible adoption across HR functions

• Hold HR and Technology stakeholders accountable to design principles 

• Collaborate with technology teams and business leaders to enable core capabilities and deliver business value 

• Present demos, statusupdatesand risk/mitigation strategies and communicate down the pyramid through VP level

• Support key stakeholders through combined status updates of cross-organization programs/projects to drive process improvements and decision making

• Manage stakeholder expectations while supporting governance and service delivery model

• Define and evaluate tool needs with HR and non-HR groups to ensure efficiency in processes and data integrity across all systems

• Own project intake & prioritization and roadmap execution for HR technology and analytics related initiatives

• Own process design for system-related processes and ensure actionable & clear system requirements are gathered, user acceptance testing plans are developed, and successful roll outs of initiatives occur

• Prioritize feature opportunities and develop backlog, supportingtheroadmap 

• Deliver high-impact and complex programs by driving the intake of requests, defining, and analyzing requirements, and executing integrated plans across multiple teams  

• Engage with vendors to influence SaaS productroadmap 

• Benchmark with industry peers 

• Utilize research and usability sessions tovalidatefeature design 

• Drive technical and non-technical root cause analysis for underperforming business KPIs

• Manage special projects and perform other related duties as assigned

You own this if you have… 

• 5+ years ofsuccessfulprogram, project, or productmanagementexperiencewithdemonstratedsuccessful deliveryofSaaS solutions

• 4+ years of HRIS and/or Workforce Scheduling & Labor Optimization tool experience in a large corporate environment

• 3+ years of configuration-level Workday experience (HCM&Scheduling)preferred

• Experience managing stakeholder relationships

• Understanding of AI technologies and their application within HR, including evaluating and enabling responsible use of AI-driven tools and platforms

• A proventrack recordof consistent and measurable delivery of large cross-functional and high-profile initiatives 

• Strong technical knowledge with experience managing technical initiatives that span several teams and functional areas

• Familiarity with agile development frameworks and tools (e.g., Jira)

• Possessa stronglevel ofknowledge of technology (e.g., Cloud, APIs, services, Windows stack, database technologies, etc.) 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with employees across all organizational levels, including communicating with technical & non-technical audiences

• Organizational and planning skills, including being able to work reliably and efficiently under demanding deadlines with minimal supervision and to self-manage projects

This is a hybrid role requiring the selected candidate to working onsite four (4) days per week and live within a commutable distance of Nordstrom's corporate offices in Seattle, WA.
