Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

Plans, organizes, directs, and controls the accounting and control functions of PHI Americas and reports operational results. Responsible for guiding financial decisions byestablishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures. Establishes,monitorsand enforces financial controls. Conducts and oversees audits.Assistsin budget preparation byestablishingschedules; collecting, analyzing, andconsolidatingfinancial data; recommending plans. Subject matter expert for Ramco (ERP) and OneStream (Consolidations and Reporting). Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data. Responsible for all aspects of the Month Endcloseprocess.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Leads the Month End Close process, and responsible fortimelyclosing and accuracy of the financials

  • Responsible for the financial reporting of the accounting operations. Formulates andmaintainsthe accountingpolicies,plansand practices. Ensures that all financial data isaccurateand prepared in compliance with internal and external standards and accepted accounting principles. Ensures financial integrity of all general ledger accounts. 

  • Maintainsan appropriate internalcontrol environment.Identifiesandimplementopportunities for improvement with peers and management. Prepares and presents reports and findings to top management and directors.

  • Develop and implement financial controls and reports for PHI in support of communicating with nonmanagement groups such as shareholders, creditors, regulatory agencies, and tax authorities.

  • Responsible for thetimelyandaccuratereporting for quarterly and year-end audit procedures, both internal and external, and roll-up into the corporation's audited financial statements.

  • Maintains management accounting processes toidentify, measure, accumulate, analyze, prepare, interpret, and communicate information used by management to plan, evaluate and control within PHI Americas to assureappropriate useof and accounting for its resources and business.

  • Keeps abreast of financial reporting principles, regulatory reporting requirements and other accounting industry developments that havea financial impacton the operating results of the organization ensuringtimelyandaccurateimplementation and reporting,identifyingissuesand developing solutions.

  • Develops, implements,monitorsand ensures proper internal controls are in place and internal policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and safeguarding of assets. Assuresprotectionof company business assets through internal control and internal auditing.

  • Subject matter expert for implementation and optimization of financial systems, i.e., Ramco, OneStream, and Workday (HCM)

  • Responsible for the oversight of accounting policies,practicesand procedures

  • Coordinate budgets and forecasts – review and preparation of annual business plan and quarterly updates. 

  • Preparation of various financial analyses as directed by management. Assumes other special activities and responsibilities as.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance. Professional certification (CPA, CMA)preferred

  • Deep knowledge of accounting and cost control principles including US GAAP and internal control frameworks. 

  • Experience partnering with operations management at multiple levels. 

  • Proficiencyin finance and accounting systems (e.g.ERP, Hyperion, OneStream, Workday) and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tighttimeframes. • Excellent analytical and organizational skills. • Minimum of 8-10years’ experiencein business administration,financeand accounting. • Minimum of 2 years in management roles.
