An active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required for this position

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Linux System Administrator / System Engineer to support a high-visibility mission environment within the Intelligence Community. This role requires deep expertise in Linux system administration, virtualization, automation, and security compliance, along with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, mission-critical setting.

Key Responsibilities

Administer, maintain, and optimize Linux-based systems (RHEL/CentOS) in a secure enterprise environment
Support mission-critical infrastructure with a focus on availability, performance, and security
Create, configure, and manage VMware virtual machines
Install, configure, and maintain JBoss application environments
Implement automation solutions using Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools
Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
Support security compliance initiatives and system hardening efforts
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across storage, networking, and security domains
Provide support for 24x7 operations, including on-call and after-hours response

Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience as a Linux System Administrator/Engineer
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Strong expertise with Linux (RHEL/CentOS) environments
Experience with VMware VM creation, configuration, and operations
Security+ Certification (required)
Experience supporting IC (Intelligence Community) mission environments

Highly Desired Qualifications

Active or recent SYS3 Privileged Access
Extensive experience with JBoss installation, configuration, and administration
Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform
Storage systems and administration
Networking fundamentals and infrastructure support
Security compliance and auditing
Authentication systems
Scripting with Shell and/or Python
Physical server administration
Experience with Oracle Database and potential DBA exposure
Familiarity with JSON (JavaScript Object Notation)

Salary range for this position: $151,000 - $170,000 #CJ
