ABOUT THE ROLE:

Skechers is seeking a Senior Analyst to join our IT Infrastructure & Operations team, supporting and helping to establish the Software Asset Management (SAM) program. This role combines data analysis, compliance monitoring, and process execution with program development responsibilities to ensure software license optimization, cost management, and regulatory compliance across our global technology environment. The Senior Analyst will act as a key advisor to IT and business leadership on software governance, SaaS and cloud subscriptions, and software-related risk.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

SAM Program Development & Leadership Support

  • Assist in designing and implementing comprehensive Software Asset Management program components and maturity roadmaps (aligned to ISO 19770 and ITAM standards)
  • Help develop and maintain SAM policies, standards, procedures, and governance frameworks (ISO 19770, ITAM standards)
  • Lead execution of end-to-end SAM processes: procurement → request → deployment → monitoring → optimization → compliance → retirement.
  • Create, maintain, and own the quality of software asset inventory and license management databases.
  • Support evaluation, implementation, and management of SAM tools. Integrate with existing ITSM/CMDB systems, endpoint management, cloud platforms, HR, and financial systems

Data Analysis & Process Leadership

  • Analyze software usage data, SaaS subscription data, and license consumption patterns to identify trends and optimization opportunities
  • Lead development of comprehensive reports and dashboards on software inventory, compliance status, utilization, risk, and cost metrics
  • Take ownership of SAM tool administration and configuration along with related integrations to support automated discovery, reconciliation, and reporting
  • Establish and track SAM metrics and KPIs (cost per license, utilization rates, compliance scores)
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support software forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis

Compliance Monitoring & Vendor Support

  • Monitor compliance with software licensing agreements and vendor terms
  • Lead software audits, license true-ups, and coordinate vendor audit response preparation including documentation, data packages, and remediation plans
  • Identify and help mitigate software compliance risks and security vulnerabilities
  • Support primary vendor liaison activities and participate in licensing negotiations
  • Maintain comprehensive audit trails, compliance documentation and playbooks
  • Coordinate with hardware asset management to ensure proper license reclamation and reassignment

Strategic Support & Stakeholder Leadership

  • Lead cost reduction initiatives through data-driven insights and strategic recommendations
  • Support procurement team with software contract analysis and provide renewal recommendations including license metrics and consolidation opportunities
  • Collaborate with IT teams, procurement, legal, and business units on SAM initiatives
  • Partner with security teams to align software compliance with cybersecurity objectives
  • Provide training and guidance to IT staff on SAM processes and tools. Support change management activities to drive adoption of appropriate processes
  • Help drive adoption of standard software catalogs and self-service request workflows, influencing stakeholders to reduce non-standard and redundant tools

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years Software Asset Management, IT Asset Management, or related field experience in medium to large enterprise environments
  • 2+ years experience establishing or significantly contributing to SAM program development including process design, governance, and tool implementation
  • 3+ years experience with enterprise software licensing (Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, VMware, SaaS, Cloud)
  • Proven experience supporting SAM programs and leading compliance initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of software licensing models (perpetual, subscription, user, device, consumption-based, SaaS) and SAM tools (ServiceNow, Flexera, or similar Service Management platforms)
  • Strong understanding of virtualization, cloud computing, and ITIL frameworks
  • Experience leading process improvement and program development initiatives
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting; proficiency with advanced Excel and/or analytics/scripting tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, or similar) is highly desirable

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience & Skills

  • Required: Bachelor's degree (IT, Business, Data Analytics, or related field)
  • Preferred: CSAM (Certified Software Asset Manager) or working toward certification
  • Preferred: ITIL Foundation or higher

Core Competencies
