Job Description
The Sr. Manager, Finance Systems - EPM is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the end-to-end ownership, administration, and strategic direction of the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) suite and BlackLine platform at Skechers. This individual will serve as the leader for all EPM applications, ensuring system stability, continuous improvement, and alignment with the broader Finance and IT strategy. The role requires a balance of deep technical expertise, strong people leadership, and the ability to partner effectively with Finance, Accounting, IT and cross-functional stakeholders globally.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Serve as the owner for the Oracle Cloud EPM suite and BlackLine, including Planning (EPBCS), Financial Consolidation and Close (FCCS), Account Reconciliation (ARCS), Tax Reporting (TRCS), Narrative Reporting, Enterprise Data Management (EDMCS) and BlackLine Transaction Matching
- Ensure all Oracle Cloud EPM and BlackLine applications are operating efficiently, reliably, and securely across the global Finance user community
- Own and manage data integrations, schedules, and mapping; proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact the business
- Lead root cause analysis and resolution of system incidents, ensuring minimal business disruption
- Provide hands-on, in-the-trenches support during critical finance cycles, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), forecasting, and other high-demand business activities; serve as an active contributor, not just an overseer, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and the team is never without senior-level support when it matters most
- Serve as a strategic business partner to Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Tax, and Treasury leadership, proactively engaging stakeholders to deeply understand their workflows, pain points, and goals; translate business needs into actionable system solutions, and position the EPM team as a trusted, value-added partner rather than a reactive support function
- Maintain system configurations, security, and data integrity across all platforms
- Define and communicate the Oracle Cloud EPM and BlackLine systems roadmap, aligning with Finance and IT strategic priorities
- Identify and drive opportunities to re-engineer and automate finance processes, reducing manual effort and improving data quality
- Evaluate and recommend system enhancements, new features, and best practices across the Oracle Cloud EPM ecosystem
- Lead the adoption of EPM Automate, Cloud Data Management, and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) capabilities to drive efficiency
- Lead the full lifecycle of system enhancements and implementations - from requirements gathering, design, and development through testing, training, and go-live
- Manage functional and user acceptance testing (UAT) efforts across the Oracle Cloud EPM and BlackLine portfolio
- Partner with Finance and Accounting teams to build business cases, define requirements, and track realized benefits
- Oversee global finance transformation projects, ensuring best practices and consistency across the finance applications ecosystem
- Act as the primary point of contact for the global Finance end-user community on all Oracle Cloud EPM and BlackLine matters
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Accounting, Tax, FP&A, and IT teams to drive alignment and deliver solutions
- Build trusted relationships with executive stakeholders; communicate complex system topics clearly and concisely
- Manage third-party vendor and service provider relationships, ensuring contractual obligations and service levels are met
- Provide ongoing end-user training, support, and documentation to ensure adoption and proficiency across all EPM platforms
- Other duties as assigned
People Management Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and grow a high-performing applications team, including onsite, remote, and offshore members, with a servant-leadership philosophy
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and technical excellence
- Manage resource allocation and capacity planning to ensure optimal and consistent service delivery
- Set clear performance standards and hold individuals and the team accountable to defined goals and expectations
- Ability to lead, inspire, coach, and motivate a diverse team that may include direct reports, contractors, managed services, and/or consultants
- Manage and maintain relationships with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure performance and value delivery
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Knowledge and Skills Requirements
- Expert-level knowledge of Oracle Cloud EPM application administration and business processes supported by the EPM suite
- Strong understanding of BlackLine transaction matching administration and its integration with a Treasury Management System
- Proficiency with EPM Automate, Cloud Data Management, and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)

- Experience with programming and scripting languages including MaxL, MDX, Groovy, SQL, and Java
- Strong project management skills across complex, multi-stakeholder IT initiatives; familiarity with various project management methodologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present to executive-level audiences in a clear and concise manner
- Excellent documentation skills using Microsoft Office, Visio or LucidChart, and Smartsheets
- Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, formulate, and succinctly convey complex solutions to a wide and varied audience
- Strong relationship-building skills; able to establish trust and credibility with business stakeholders at all levels
- Demonstrated track record of process improvement and implementing best practices within finance systems environments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis on complex system issues
- Experience developing reporting, analytics, and dashboards within EPM environments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency, drive, and accuracy in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Adaptable and flexible in a changing environment; comfortable operating with ambiguity
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience
- Degree or certifications in systems administration a plus

- Experience managing people and leading a team
- 8 years of people leadership, specifically leading an applications team within the Oracle EPM space
- 10 years of combined Accounting/Finance and Financial Systems experience with at least 5 years of experience administering the Oracle Cloud EPM bundle of applications: EPBCS, PCMCS, FCCS, ARCS, TRCS, Narrative Reporting, EDMCS, Smart View and Financial Reporting Web Studio (FRS).
