The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Sr. Product Development Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
How you will make an impact
- Invent, formulate, and develop chemical and materials solutions to create and improve novel dental products
- Collaborate across R&D within Solventum, including internationally, to advance projects
- Generate intellectual property through the filing of new patent applications leading to commercialized products
- Complete work with little supervision and working well in a team
- Drive inventions from concept, design, development, and scale-up for seamless commercialization
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Ph.D. Degree in chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering, polymer science or related discipline (STEM) from an accredited institution.
AND
In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
- Ability to work in-person daily at the Eagan, MN site.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including documentation of work
- Demonstrated interest and ability to make connections between science/technology and products that solve customer problems
- Strong record of generating publications
- Experience working in a chemistry, chemical engineering, or materials laboratory
Work location:
- Onsite Eagan, Minnesota, USA
Travel: May include up to 15% domestic and international
Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
