Billing Specialist Needed Urgently hiring in Sterling, VAJob Title: Sr. Billing Clerk Pay: $60,000 - $63,000 + 2.5% bonus Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday - Friday, hybrid: 2 days in-office) Start Date: ASAPLooking for a career-enhancing opportunity? Join a dynamic and supportive team providing specialized shared services supporting multiple companies within a manufacturing-focused organization in Sterling, VA, and make an impact every day.As a Sr. Billing Clerk, you'll handle complex billing and collections for government contractors and inventory shipments, ensuring accurate invoicing and dispute resolution. You'll work closely with the finance and client services teams to deliver results that drive efficiency and customer satisfaction.What Youll Do As a Sr. Billing Clerk, you will be responsible for:
- Using third-party systems to bill government contractor hours and inventory received from overseas*
- Managing collections and resolving disputes through thorough research and client communication*
- Monitoring invoicing processes and ensuring timely delivery by leveraging SAP*
- Applying sales tax calculations and maintaining compliance, with experience in Vertex preferred*
- Supporting reporting efforts to provide insights post-invoicing
- 3+ years of billing & collections experience within the manufacturing industry*
- Proficiency in Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, V+H lookups, and Power Query (requested)*
- Experience with sales tax processes and regulations*
- Strong attention to detail and self-sufficiency, with the ability to learn and handle processes independently within 90 days*
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a support-driven environment
