Job Summary:

Seeking a Sr. Manager, Product Management who can lead and manage Super Micro server chassis product development, review product design and specification, control product schedule, and ensure time-to-market product launch and on-time delivery. This individual will have the capability to work together with cross-functional team to enable and develop application-optimized, competitive server chassis products and drive Super Micro server chassis business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

  • Develop and manage the product life cycle of server chassis products, including product development phase: product conception, specification, scheduling, prototyping, tooling; as well as mass production phase: product support and maintenance of the entire product life cycle
  • Create and present chassis product roadmap
  • Closely work with engineering teams to review the product specification and design of chassis mechanical, thermal, system architecture to enable competitive, high quality server chassis product
  • Lead cross-functional team to ensure time-to-market product launch and on-time delivery
  • Closely work with oversea ODM vendor on server chassis product design and development, design review, chassis parts tooling fabrication and production ramp-up, set-up
  • Work with marketing and sales on new chassis products launch and promotion
  • Utilize strong project management and technical leadership to drive Super Micro server chassis products business and promote to worldwide sales and customers

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering preferred
  • 12+ years of engineering experience preferred
  • Linux expertise a plus
  • Excellent knowledge of server systems, PC systems, and computer peripherals is required
  • Strong initiative and ability to work in a self-directed environment
  • Effective organization and planning skills
  • Demonstrated experience working in cross-functional organizations
  • Creative thinker, to develop new strategies and solutions
  • Ability to lead extended teams and meet deadlines
  • Strong understanding of market trends and customer needs
  • Strong analytical, negotiation and problem solving skills
  • Solid communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time

Please note that this position requires regular in-office attendance. The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office during standard working hours as determined by the company. In-office collaboration and participation in team meetings, training sessions, and other on-site activities are essential aspects of this role. Candidates should consider the commuting distance and be prepared to fulfill their responsibilities in the designated office location.

Salary Range

$180,000 - $230,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
