Senior Specialist, Electrical Engineer (Digital Hardware Design)Rochester, NY

What you’ll be doing:
- Design and develop embedded digital hardware for SDR platforms and accessories
- Work with ARM processors, DDR memory, USB, and Ethernet interfaces
- Lead schematic capture, hardware architecture, and high-speed PCB design analysis
- Perform simulation and analysis using tools such as LTSpice, HyperLynx, and MATLAB
- Execute subsystem and system-level verification and validation testing
- Troubleshoot hardware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and lab instrumentation
- Ensure compliance with MIL-STD-461 and IPC reliability standards
- Collaborate across hardware, RF, software, and manufacturing teams
What they’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 6+ years of digital hardware design experience
- Strong experience with embedded microprocessor integration and high-speed digital protocols
- Experience with schematic capture tools such as Mentor VX/DxDesigner
- Familiarity with signal integrity analysis and PCB layout concepts
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
- SDR, RF, VHDL, Python, JTAG, or Agile PLM experience is a plus
