This role calls for sound judgment, strong business acumen, and the ability to influence senior leadership while operating with ambiguity and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU'LL BUILD & OWN

  • Serve as the escalation point for complex employee relations, compliance, and policy matters.
  • Own employee relations strategy for the site, overseeing investigations, disciplinary action, performance concerns, and conflict resolution.
  • Coach and develop managers on performance management, documentation, and difficult conversations.
  • Lead complex workplace investigations and determine corrective action in partnership with legal/HR leadership.
  • Oversee separations, including severance strategy and negotiations.
  • Oversee full-cycle recruitment strategy for the site, partnering with hiring managers on selection criteria for critical and leadership roles.
  • Own workforce planning and headcount forecasting for the site.
  • Own compliance strategy for FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, and applicable state/local employment law.
  • Lead the FMLA/ADA interactive process and complex accommodation matters.
  • Own HR policy and handbook content, ensuring alignment with company standards and required postings.
  • Lead audits (I-9, EEO-1, unemployment, workers' comp) and manage agency inquiries and responses.
  • Lead managers through performance review cycles, PIPs, and calibration.
  • Drive succession planning and talent development strategy for the site.
  • Own training rollout and organizational development initiatives.
  • Own job classification, pay equity analysis, and compensation recommendations for the site.
  • Oversee HRIS data integrity; build and interpret advanced reporting.
  • Lead annual merit and bonus cycle execution and compensation updates.
  • Partner directly with the HR Director and site leadership on workforce planning, org design, and change management.
  • Lead M&A integration activities (employment agreements, title alignment, communications) as needed.
  • Drive HR projects and process improvement initiatives across the site, and represent the site in broader HR initiatives.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7-10+ years of progressive HR experience, including experience leading or mentoring HR staff.
  • Deep working knowledge of employment law (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, state variances).
  • Demonstrated experience independently managing complex employee relations issues and investigations.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms (Workday, ADP, etc.).
  • Excellent judgment, discretion, and interpersonal skills; ability to influence senior leadership.
  • Sound judgment and conflict resolution at a senior level.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to influence senior leadership without direct authority.
  • Comfort operating with ambiguity and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong documentation, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • People leadership skills, including coaching, developing, and holding HR staff accountable.
