As a Sr. Process Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing and developing these systems and managing each project from concept through start-up/commissioning. You will also serve as a vital technical resource and communicator across clients, vendors, contractors, and internal teams. The is not a utility-focused role. We are looking for someone with strong food & beverage industry experience. We have an office in Schnecksville, PA, so anyone in that area will be given priority. Otherwise, only candidates located on the East Coast will be considered. Responsibilities
- Lead technical reviews, present equipment recommendations, and communicate process concepts clearly to customers and internal teams
- Review client specifications, P&IDs and drawings to understand process requirements and constraints, recommending appropriate equipment sizes, pump types, and configuration
- Support customers in choosing equipment that best aligns with process goals, sanitary standards, and long-term reliability
- Develop detailed cost estimates for process equipment, labor, materials, and utilities based on customer specifications and internal standards
- Requisition or purchase essential equipment and materials
- Prepare and review technical proposals, including scope of work, timelines, and budgetary estimates
- Ensure all estimates comply with company standards and customer expectations, balancing technical feasibility with budget constraints
- Collaborate with plant managers, engineers, and project teams to maximize efficiency, identify efficient, cost-effective equipment solutions and ensure customer satisfaction
- Conduct technical presentations to integrators, engineering firms and consultants regarding specifics on WAT equipment offerings
- Identify, analyze, and implement process improvements.
- Provide supervision for field personnel and act as a mentor to junior engineers and applications staff
- Travel to customer facilities for site visits, project oversight, etc. as required (20–30%)
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Biological Systems, or related field) required
- Minimum of 5+ years of process engineering experience (or equivalent education/experience)
- Strong knowledge of process design, sanitary equipment, and fluid systems
- Demonstrated experience leading customer projects from concept through execution
- Professional communication and presentation skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Process design software knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Supervisory or leadership experience in process engineering
- AutoCAD experience
- Experience in the sanitary process (pumps and valves), food & beverage, dairy, or pharmaceutical industries
- Work is typically performed in an office environment but requires regular travel to client facilities, production plants, or construction job sites
- Noise levels vary; industrial sites and production facilities may be loud
- May require standing, walking, climbing, balancing, and lifting during site visits
- Overtime, nights, weekends, or holidays may be required depending on project demands
- Competitive Base Salary and annual bonus target
- Company-subsidized Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Life/Disability Insurance, HSA/FSA
- Retirement savings plan (401k) with net 4% employer match plus profit share plan
