Job Description:
- Two open director roles: IGA Director and Active Directory Director
- Both reporting to Seema Jayaram (VP) and Prakash (CIO)
- Open for 6 months - struggling with candidate quality and stakeholder alignment
- 64,000 employees globally, looking for large-scale experience (tens of thousands of users) – 5000 won't cut it
Role Requirements & Challenges IGA Director Position
- SailPoint experience strongly preferred (Cloud IQ acceptable)
- Other tools (Okta, Savion, Oracle, CA) may work for exceptional candidates
- Must have implementation experience plus governance building
- Managing 18-20 directs (1 manager, 19 individual contributors)
Active Directory Director Position
- Global scale AD experience required
- Working on domain consolidation project (ongoing since 2015)
- SSO and Multi-Factor Authentication management
- Same team structure: 18-20 directs
Universal Requirements
- Senior director level or experienced director ready for next step
- Must be hands-on technical + strategic leadership
- Want to be "in the weeds” with engineers during escalations
- No program managers or risk/compliance backgrounds
- Cultural fit critical
Hiring Challenges & Stakeholder Dynamics
- Prakash (CIO) very particular, not flexible on requirements
- Seema more open to compromise but both want same end result
- Previous failures due to:
- Candidates too strategic, not technical enough
- Program managers who can't do hands-on engineering
- Poor cultural fit
- Infrastructure-focused vs. identity-focused experience
- Current pipeline: 2 candidates for AD role, 1 for IGA role
