Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mixed analog and digital electrical circuits for various electrical systems, including embedded controllers, wireless communication devices, motor drives, and power converters. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize designs, implement real-time digital control algorithms, and ensure product quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Design mixed analog and digital electrical circuits utilizing components such as microcontrollers, op-amps, power electronics switches, etc.
  • Own the PCBA design, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and prototyping, testing, and debugging.
  • Model electrical systems such as power converters and motor drives and design optimum digital controllers based on simulations and real testing data.
  • Implement real-time digital control algorithms in firmware.
  • Perform board level as well as system level tests to verify and validate designs.
  • Analyze EMI issues on the system level and implement mitigation measures.
  • Collaborate with design and development teams to optimize designs and improve product quality.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical hardware and firmware design.
  • Proven proficiency in PCBA design tools such as Altium Designer, with a demonstrated track record of delivering production-level designs.
  • Experience with programming in C for embedded control, Python script for data analysis and test automation, and VHDL/Verilog for FPGA.
  • Hands-on experience in hardware and firmware debugging and testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong background in system modeling/simulation and analog/digital controller design.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The annual salary range for this position is Pay Range (Applicable to California) $175,000.00 - $190,000.00, dependent on level of experience
