Your Role on Our Team

The Senior Electronics Calibration Technician will perform advanced calibration, adjustment, and troubleshooting of electronic test equipment, including digital multimeters (DMMs), analog and digital oscilloscopes, power supplies and electronic loads, current shunts, probes, signal generators, data acquisition systems, and specialized lab instrumentation. This role will analyze measurement performance and determine calibration requirements for new and existing equipment, conduct root cause analysis on out-of-tolerance conditions, and implement corrective actions. The technician will interpret calibration data to ensure traceability to national and international standards, act as a key technical resource for engineering teams on measurement-related issues, and support workload planning and prioritization of calibration activities based on business needs.

You'll also be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

  • Maintain and improve calibration systems and databases (e.g., scheduling, certification records, traceability)

  • Ensure all equipment is calibrated within required intervals to support engineering timelines and testing throughput

  • Develop and standardize calibration procedures and best practices across labs

  • Support internal and external audits, including documentation readiness and compliance verification

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to support:

  • Test system validation

  • Measurement capability studies

  • Equipment selection and specification

  • Serve as the primary interface with external calibration providers when required

  • Support urgent measurement and test equipment issues impacting product development timelines

  • Identify opportunities to insource calibration and reduce outsourced costs through internal capability expansion (aligned with current business initiatives)

  • Evaluate new calibration equipment and technologies

  • Contribute to long-term calibration strategy, including lab capability growth and standardization

What TOOLS you'll bring with you:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Military experience in related field or equivalent work experience.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience calibrating electronic test equipment

  • Strong understanding of:

  • Electrical measurement principles (voltage, current, resistance, frequency, power)

  • Calibration methods and traceability concepts

  • Experience working in a regulated or structured quality environment

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, organization, collaboration, project coordination, and continuous improvement skills.

Other TOOLS that are nice to have:

  • Experience with ISO/IEC 17025 or similar quality standards

  • Experience with IndySoft and MET/CONNECT

  • Familiarity with uncertainty analysis and measurement system analysis (MSA)

  • Experience with calibration software or asset management systems

  • Knowledge of statistical tools (e.g., Minitab)

  • Exposure to fixture design or automated test systems
