The MYA Reliability Engineering People Leader will be responsible for leading a business-critical team within the Reliability Engineering organization, which focuses on driving accurate and compliant model updates to be used in various means throughout the MYA/CS business; part of this effort includes sustainment and continued development of processes and tools that are used to underwrite our guarantees, key to GE Vernova business success. As leader of this team, you will drive cross-functional collaboration within and outside of the Reliability Engineering organization, always challenging the “traditional thinking” and our way of doing things, such that innovation continues to be a strength of this organization. You will be responsible for ensuring that all team priorities are set and executed with an SQDC mindset while fulfilling the GE Vernova Way principles, always with unyielding integrity.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
The MYA Reliability Engineering team is part of the GlobalReliability Engineering team within the Services Systems Engineering organization, which rolls up to Customer Service Engineering within Gas Power Engineering.
In the role of MYA Reliability Engineering People Leader, you will:
- Embrace a Safety-first mindset, supporting product risk-reduction with a sense of urgency
- Ensure quality execution of all work and model generation/updates that meets requirements set in SYSDPs, Reliability QWIs and process documents
- Establish, communicate and operationalize a clear vision & culture for the MYA Reliability Engineering team, serving as the Engineering go-to team for all questions, concerns and updates required/related to MYA and CS catalog modeling and NLREs
- Ensure continued sustainment & evolution of business-critical tool in RAMDECKmini such that catalog updates and new unit and CSA contract deal under writing is timely and compliant
- Maintain catalog update compliance by ensuring that team completes and submits model updates on a timely basis with accurate inputs
- Set team priorities, expectations, and standards to drive a culture of high ‘say-do’ execution, accountable for satisfying business targets aligned with the Gas Power Services business line.
- Cultivate a positive working environment and team morale
- Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with interfacing teams (MYA Systems, GTE Systems, Design Modules, Services, Repairs, Digital, Chief’s Office, etc.) to enable open, transparent communication for efficient cross-functional decision making
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university or college or a high school diploma/ GED with 10 years of relevant experience
- Minimum 8 years of relevant design and engineering experience
- A working understanding of Reliability engineering and statistics
- An understanding of how the MYA business functions and the impacts Reliability Engineering outputs have on the MYA catalog and financials
