Job Description

The Sr HR Data Administrator works with many internal and external business partners to execute numerous human resources responsibilities in the areas of analytics & reporting, leave management, payroll, time management, and overall HR administration. This is an onsite position based in Manhattan, KS. Occasional remote work will be permitted from time-to-time, but this position requires extensive physical presence in the Manhattan, KS office.

Primary Responsibilities:

HR Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Generates and analyzes monthly and quarterly reporting packages through the Innovu and Gallagher Cotiviti health analytics engines in order to identify aggregated trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Analyzes monthly medical plan and prescription plan reporting from the SPS broker, TPA, and PBM
  • Prepares a monthly one-page analysis of medical and prescription plan performance
  • Presents quarterly benefit plan analyses and improvement recommendations to the Vice President of Human Resources and annually to the company Benefits Committee
  • Leads the creation of benefit carrier file feeds and eligibility files ensuring accuracy and timeliness; manages the ongoing maintenance and upload/download of all files and file feeds
  • Partners with the Payroll and Benefits Lead to plan and administer the annual ACA 1095-B and 1095-C reporting processes in consultation with the Payroll and Benefits Lead
  • Serves as the primary report writer for HR in the UKG Pro Business Intelligence & UKG Learning platforms
  • Generates annual EEOC and California Pay reporting as required by law
  • Generates and analyzes annual Leadership & Engagement Survey results and delivers reporting and insightful analysis at the business unit, facility, and individual manager level to key company leaders
  • Builds HR analytics tools company leaders can use via self-service to monitor key talent indicators for their BU

Benefits

  • Serves on the HR Team Benefits Working Committee ensuring excellent coordination of task execution and employee experience in support of employee benefits
  • Serves as the project manager for carrier and third-party partner renewals for all benefits and wellness offerings 
  • Assists Payroll and Benefits Lead and HR Administrator with Annual Benefits Open Enrollment as requested
  • Serves as a backup for the Payroll and Benefits Lead for reconciling and processing benefit carrier bills to ensure accuracy and prompt payments

Payroll

  • Responsible for fully administering the weekly company-wide payroll once every other month with direction from the Payroll and Benefits Lead
  • Serves as the project manager for the implementation of newly acquired companies coming onto SPS HR payroll, technology, policies, programs, and benefits  
  • Assists Payroll and Benefits Lead and HR Administrator with year-end HR processes as requested

HR Administration

  • Fully administers the UKG Learning platform – including users, content, curricula, & technology management
  • Serves as the vendor manager for all third-party learning content providers including contracts, renewals, and integration
  • Serves as a backup for the HR Administrator to ensure all job descriptions are documented and uploaded in Teams, UKG Pro, & SharePoint in the absence of the HR Administrator
  • Serves as a backup for the HR Administrator to post new jobs, keep existing requisitions moving, and generate offer letters in the absence of the HR Administrator
  • Serves as a backup for the HR Administrator to keep all pre-hire and onboarding processes moving forward in the absence of the HR Administrator
  • Collaborates with the HR Administrator to track and report on new hire onboarding activities and onboarding surveys; analyzes results for trends and presents recommendations for improvement

Preferred Background, Competencies & Expertise

  • Job related experience in Human Resources
  • 3+ years of experience working with the UKG Pro HRIS platform
  • 3+ years of direct experience administering payroll
  • 3+ years of direct HRIS experience
  • 3+ years of direct experience with business intelligence & report writing (UKG uses the IBM Cognos product)
  • 3+ years of direct experience administering employee benefits
  • 3+ years of direct experience administering ACA 1095-B/C reporting
  • 3+ years of direct experience administering a Learning Management System (LMS)
  • 5+ years of direct experience planning and managing large complex projects
  • Previous experience working with Microsoft Power BI
  • Experience with video editing and production
  • Advanced data analysis skills and experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
