Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned professional with a strong background in human factors and usability validation to contribute to the design and development of cutting-edge medical devices. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the safety and effectiveness of our products.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct human factors usability validation testing, including authorship of protocol, study design, execution, data analysis, and report writing.
- Generate and revise use-related risk analysis (URRA).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on design updates related to the safe use of Class III, implantable neurostimulators and associated components.
Additional Responsibilities
- Apply human performance principles, methodologies, and technologies to the design of human-machine systems and products.
- Develop and implement research methodologies and statistical analysis plans to test and evaluate developmental prototypes.
- Design and execute tests to simulate product use for concept selection, requirements development, and formal usability validation with intended users.
- Interface with design engineers to establish system design, operating, and training requirements, ensuring optimized human-machine interfaces.
- Identify and analyze technological problems or risks, perform theoretical human factors investigations, and develop research and analysis plans.
Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge in human factors engineering, typically obtained through a University Degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in project management is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence decision-making and build consensus.
- Ability to work independently under limited supervision and as part of a team.
This is an on-site position with the option to work from home one day a week, typically on Fridays. We are looking for a dedicated professional to join us in delivering innovative solutions that improve patient outcomes.
