  • Influencing and Advising: Leverage gravitas and well-honed interpersonal skills to influence and guide senior leadership, shaping attitudes and behaviors around risk. Use diplomacy to resolve differing views and build consensus on risk appetite and mitigation strategies.

  • Building and Enhancing Frameworks: Develop, refine, and oversee the implementation of risk frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure consistency, clarity, and alignment with best practices. Drive continuous improvement efforts that elevate the firm's risk management capabilities.

  • Embedding Risk in the Business: Collaborate closely with business units to seamlessly integrate risk identification, assessment, and mitigation into strategic planning and day-to-day operations. Empower teams to take ownership of their risk environments with clear guidance and tools.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and deliver insightful presentations and reports for executive committees, ensuring complex risk issues are communicated with clarity and impact. Facilitate training and awareness initiatives that reinforce the importance of a strong risk culture.

  • Driving Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build deep, trusted relationships across the organization, working hand-in-hand with other risk leaders, compliance, legal, and business partners to ensure a unified approach to enterprise risk.

  • Monitoring and Escalation: Proactively monitor emerging risks and escalate critical concerns with urgency and clarity, ensuring senior stakeholders are well-informed and empowered to act decisively.

  • Culture and Values Alignment: Demonstrate a deep understanding of, and commitment to, Wellington's culture and values. Promote diversity of thought and inclusive decision-making in all risk activities and interactions.
