Job Description

Manages the Supply Chain functions within the business including order management, purchasing, scheduling, inventory control, warehouse and shipping/receiving. This individual will maintain an ongoing focus on stability, service, inventory, and supply chain efficiencies when developing, implementing, and overseeing the execution of material and finished good planning/scheduling and strategies to enable the site to achieve its specific goals and objectives.

This individual will be responsible to ensure the Supply team is performing at optimal levels to ensure that all customer, internal and external, expectations are being satisfied.

Through leadership skills, this individual will provide analytical support and guidance with issue resolution and decision-making, as well as oversee the development and tracking of the appropriate processes and KPI measures to ensure success.

Essential Functions to include but not limited to;Safety

Keep safety in the forefront of the team's thinking and approach to work.

Planning

Oversee production planning and scheduling programs to meet sales forecasts, balancing manpower, equipment availability while minimizing exec material carrying and overhead costs.Ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained to achieve on-time deliveries and meet customer requirements while minimizing carrying and transportation costs.

Manage site lead times to accurately communicate product availabilityManage the establishment, maintenance and compliance of inventory stocking agreementsRepresent the site as the face of Pregis to key customer account relationshipsReact to business conditions ensuring appropriate production volumes and inventories to enable business unit cost and service goals to be met.

Purchasing

Work with Corporate procurement to ensure that vendor supply is reliable to enable production needed to fulfill customer needs.Manage planning team to insure requisitions and purchase orders are placed timely and appropriately to enable production while controlling spending constraints.

Inventory Control

Manage cycle count program and physical inventory events. Analyze root cause of count variances and develop and implement corrective actions.Manage and resolve slow moving/inactive inventory and develop plans to avoid write offs

Warehousing - Shipping/Receiving

Ensure 5S program implemented and maintained within warehouse and shipping areasDevelop/Manage/Monitor labor utilization plans to optimize costs and take quick corrective actions in response to variances in labor and OT expenses.Ensure all material and inventory tasks are completed physically and systematically in timely and safe manner.Evaluate and continually seek to improve warehouse space utilization.

Transportation

Manage carrier interaction and performance as it relates the inbound and outbound flows through the facility.Partner with Corporate Logistics to monitor performance and take corrective measures related to carrier management.

Administration

Leveraging Dayforce (HRIS) manage and ensure employees are compliant with attendance, vacation, FMLA, vacation coverage and labor time clocks; provide timely approvalsConduct periodic employee target and objective setting and performance evaluations with supervisors and team members.Manage employee performance and discipline while managing company risk and liabilities

Other

Acts as the key point of contact for all strategic Supply Chain initiativesUnderstand site P&L and drivers for performanceSet the tone for the department culture, with emphasis on Safety, Quality, Profitability, and People Development. Attract, retain and develop key talent with in the site.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

Previous supervisory/management experience required.Proven track record of project management skillsStrong knowledge of supply chain concepts/process and ability to apply themAbility to read, analyze, and interpret various reports and documents.Ability to present issues clearly and concisely; generate accurate analysis, with a good understanding of the cause and effect that will occur with each alternative solution both inside and outside the Supply ChainAbility to lead cross functional decision making processes with all levels of employeesIntermediate level or better of Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, SharePoint and MS Teams) expectedStrong SAP system experience and usage to drive results.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid and concise conclusions and/or recommendations.

Education and Experience

BS/BA Supply Chain Management, required.Minimum of 10 years' experience in a Materials Management/Supply Chain, 5 year in management role.
