Job Description

Title: SRE Engineer Location: Hartford, CT - onsite

Job ID -90053-1 Duration: 6-12 Months

Salary Range: $45 - $49/hr (all inclusive)

Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Apigee SRE Engineer / Platform SME to manage, support, and optimize Apigee API platforms on GCP. The candidate will ensure high availability, performance, and security of the API ecosystem.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong experience with Apigee (Edge/X/Hybrid).
Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Knowledge of API management and API lifecycle.
Experience in Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architecture.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Prior work experience at client or in client's industry.

Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
Understanding of security policies (OAuth, JWT, mTLS).
Experience in capacity planning and performance optimization.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Manage and support Apigee Edge / Apigee X / Hybrid deployments.
Monitor API performance and troubleshoot issues in production environments.
Implement SRE practices such as SLIs, SLOs, alerting, and incident response.
Work closely with development, cloud, and DevOps teams.
Handle upgrades, patching, and capacity planning.
