Staff Accountant

Great Basin Industrial is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team in Kaysville, Utah. In this role, you will be responsible for various accounting functions including journal entries, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial health of our growing company while developing your skills in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial statements.
• Assist in the management of accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Perform account reconciliations and assist with month-end close activities.
• Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation for management analysis.
• Assist with the annual audit and tax preparations.
• Maintain thorough documentation and records in compliance with company policies.
• Support the finance team with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance. Or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
