RATE OF PAY: $22-$30 PER HOUR/DOE

INTRODUCTION:
The David C. Wynecoop Memorial Health Center is a small, patient-centered health center committed to delivering compassionate, highquality care to our community. Our team is supportive, collaborative, and dedicated to creating a positive experience for every patient who walks through our doors.
DCWMHC is seeking a reliable, detailoriented Staff Accountant that will be Responsible for daily reporting functions. This position evaluates, summarizes, reconciles, adjusts, and/or reclassifies accounting data to provide timely and accurate financial reporting; maintains financial records in accordance with established procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Follows GAAP and GASB to compile, analyze, evaluate, and summarize accounting and financial data from operations to prepare daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and annual journal entries to the general ledger and sub-ledgers.
- Prepares and reviews financial documents, reports, and statements.
- Responsible for all accounting procedures, inclusive of calculations of various tax returns, month-end and year-end closures and advise on general financial matters.
- Reconciles, adjusts, and/or reclassifies accounting and financial entries as needed.
- Maintains detailed listings and schedules of contents of all balance sheet accounts through monthly account reconciliations and is responsible for daily and monthly bank account reconciliations.
- Assists in the preparation of financial statements and management of operating reports.
- Maintains a master list of monthly journal entries.
- Prepares and manages accruals and accrual reversals.
- Ensures recurring entries are updated or terminated at appropriate trigger points.
- Notifies the CFO of any potential threats or delays and researches and resolves discrepancies.
- Assist in special projects as required by Management.
- Must adhere to customer service standards by providing excellent customer service.
- Maintains confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and in all aspects of work and complies with all applicable tribal, federal, or state laws and procedures.

Preferred Experience/ Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associates or bachelor's degree in accounting preferred.
- Work experience of two (2) or more years in general ledger accounting and bank reconciliations may be substituted for education: and
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Detail oriented.
- Critical thinking and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Medium knowledge of financial software knowledge required.
- Knowledge of Sage Intacct preferred.
- Proficiency with 10-key.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent math skills.
- The technical skills of an intermediate to advanced user of MS Office software, computers, and office equipment. The candidate's technical skills may be tested during the interview process; and
In accordance with the requirements of the Health Center Manual, employee of this position, as a condition of employment, must document immunity to Rubella & Measles. Influenza vaccine is recommended for all health workers in contact with patients.
The employee must be suitable for Tribal employment in your position as determined by fingerprint check results and appropriate background investigation. An incumbent found not suitable after hire will be removed from this position.
The employee is required to operate a tribal-owned or leased motor vehicle, commercial motor vehicle, rental motor vehicle or privately owned motor vehicle in the performance of official duties. An appropriate, valid driver's license is required for the position.
