Staff Accountant

What We're Looking For

Desired Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

Associate's degree with strong academic performance considered

Undergraduate GPA above 3.4 preferred

CPA interest or eligibility is a plus, but not required

General Knowledge

Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Comfort working with Excel and Google Workspace

Experience

0-3 years of accounting, internship, or bookkeeping experience

Public accounting internship or exposure is a plus, but not required

Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technology and processes

High ethical and confidentiality standards

Demonstrated ability to take ownership and follow through on tasks

What You'll Do

Responsibilities

Support day-to-day accounting operations, including:

• -Processing cash receipts and disbursements
• -Assisting with billing activities
• -Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows

Assist with preparation of monthly close schedules and reconciliations

Perform account reconciliations (bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts)

Assist with documentation of processes and procedures

Support accounting projects and process improvement initiatives

Partner with team members across departments to resolve questions and improve workflows

Take on new responsibilities as skills develop

Training & Development

We invest heavily in developing our team.

• Our "Bootcamp" accounting training program will be provided for new WebFX team members
• Hands-on mentorship from experienced accounting professionals
• Clear growth path into Senior Accountant and leadership roles

Compensation

$50K-$65K

Schedule

Full-time, with flexibility in hours after onboarding. The ideal candidate would be in the office (post-training) 3+ days per week.
