Role summary:Join Walmart as a Staff Software Engineer specializing in Information Security, where you will lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure software solutions. You will drive continuous integration and automation efforts while overseeing quality assurance and defect resolution. Your expertise in software architecture, stakeholder engagement, and program monitoring will support the delivery of robust, high-availability systems that meet evolving business and technical needs within a dynamic environment.About the team:The OneLab Development and Engineering team within Walmart Global Tech’s Information Security Division is committed to maintaining a secure environment and building trust among customers, associates, and stakeholders. Supporting the ANAB-accredited eDiscovery and Forensics Lab, the team partners with business units to identify, collect, and preserve electronically stored information for legal and investigative purposes. They design, develop, and maintain robust software systems, ensuring compliance throughout the software development life cycle. Emphasizing stakeholder collaboration and continuous improvement, the team delivers advanced security solutions that uphold operational excellence and reliability.What you'll do:- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, analyze, and address technical and business requirements, ensuring alignment with security objectives.
- Design scalable, modular software solutions incorporating security best practices and disaster recovery considerations.
- Develop, review, and maintain high-quality code using languages such as Python, C#, and .NET frameworks, adhering to coding standards.
- Implement automation scripts to support continuous integration and delivery pipelines, enhancing efficiency and security.
- Lead testing efforts by defining test strategies, preparing test cases, and driving defect resolution to ensure robust software security.
- Monitor application performance and security metrics, proactively identifying risks and recommending corrective actions.
- Proficiency in Python, C#, .NET Framework, and React.js for software development and automation.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, scalability, and design patterns to create modular, extensible solutions.
- Experience with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure efficient program monitoring and deployment.
- Ability to analyze and manage stakeholder requirements, translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Expertise in test case development, defect management, and root cause analysis to maintain software quality and security.
- Knowledge of telemetry, disaster recovery design, and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS.
- Skilled in coding standards, frameworks, and tools to drive maintainable, high-availability software systems.
