Role summary:The Staff Software Engineer, Information Security, plays a critical role in designing and implementing secure, scalable software solutions aligned with business objectives. The role involves managing stakeholder relationships, analyzing requirements, and driving automation to enhance security and operational efficiency. The engineer will lead efforts in vulnerability management, risk assessment, and solution design while supporting cross-functional collaboration to deliver robust, compliant, and innovative information security technologies.About the team:The Solution Identification and Management (SIM) team drives global vulnerability remediation through structured processes and effective stakeholder collaboration. Working closely with business and technology partners, the team identifies, prioritizes, and mitigates risks while minimizing operational disruption. By combining disciplined execution with proactive engagement, SIM enhances the organization’s security posture and accountability. The team plays a crucial role in enabling timely risk reduction, supporting continuous operational improvement, and safeguarding critical systems enterprise-wide, contributing to the advancement of security excellence across the company.What you'll do:- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, analyze, and address technical and business requirements for information security solutions.
- Design scalable, modular software architectures that meet security, availability, and performance standards.
- Develop, review, and maintain secure code following industry best practices and coding standards.
- Implement automation scripts to support continuous integration and delivery pipelines, enhancing security and efficiency.
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability management to proactively mitigate security threats.
- Monitor program metrics and ensure adherence to project milestones and compliance requirements.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for security incidents and software defects.
- Optimize vulnerability remediation cross functionally throughout the organization
- Proficiency in Python programming and software architecture principles to design scalable, secure solutions.
- Experience with continuous integration and automation to enhance development efficiency and reliability.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity practices, including vulnerability management, cloud security, and endpoint protection.
- Ability to manage stakeholder relationships through effective communication and engagement techniques.
- Familiarity with risk management frameworks and applying them to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Competence in leveraging big data analytics and artificial intelligence to support security initiatives.
- Demonstrated capability to design modular, extensible software aligned with business and technical requirements.
