Job Description
About Linero
Linero is building the operational infrastructure that ensures the world's most sensitive technologies reach the right hands, and never the wrong ones.
Our customers include some of the most consequential companies in the world: leading AI labs, aerospace and defense primes, semiconductor giants, quantum computing pioneers, and companies pushing the frontier in chemicals, advanced manufacturing, and robotics.
We are an AI-native, venture-backed company creating a new category of software at the intersection of national security, industrial infrastructure, and enterprise AI.
The Role
Linero’s infrastructure sits beneath systems where security, reliability, and operational trust are mission-critical.
As Staff Engineer, Infrastructure & Security, you will own the architecture and implementation of Linero's cloud infrastructure. You will make foundational decisions that determine how we deploy, scale, and earn the trust of some of the most security-conscious organizations in the world. This is a role for someone who has done this before, and is ready to do it better than ever.
Due to the sensitive nature of certain customers, additional details about role responsibilities are shared under NDA with qualifying candidates.
What You'll Own
Design and build Linero's cloud infrastructure, from networking and compute to storage, access controls, and deployment pipelines
Architect the platform with FedRAMP authorization as a north star, embedding compliance requirements into the infrastructure
Own the security posture of the platform end-to-end: threat modeling, vulnerability management, incident response, and audit readiness
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and observability tooling that give the engineering team confidence to ship fast without compromising reliability
Establish the operational practices - monitoring, alerting, on-call, runbooks - that will underpin Linero's reliability commitments to enterprise customers
Partner closely with the engineering team to ensure that infrastructure decisions support product velocity
What We're Looking For
7+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud engineering, or site reliability engineering — with a track record that includes building secure, compliant platforms at scale
Deep AWS expertise across the services that matter most for a production-grade, security-conscious platform: IAM, VPC, EKS, RDS, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, and beyond
Hands-on experience operating within a FedRAMP environment, or direct exposure to the authorization process; you understand what it takes and what it costs
Strong infrastructure-as-code fluency (Terraform, Pulumi, or equivalent) and a bias toward automation over manual process
SRE-shaped thinking; you care as much about reliability, observability, and incident response as you do about security and compliance
Experience working in environments where security is not a feature but a baseline: defense, government, intelligence, or highly regulated enterprise
Preference for candidates who have navigated FedRAMP authorization end-to-end across more than one organization or platform build
What We Offer
Competitive compensation commensurate with experience
Meaningful equity in a company at an early and critical stage of growth
Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision
The opportunity to build infrastructure that will underpin one of the most consequential platforms of this decade
Direct access to leadership and genuine influence over how Linero is built
Equal Opportunity & Eligibility
Linero is an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
This role requires access to export-controlled information, as a result, applicants must be U.S. persons (citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees) as defined under applicable U.S. law.
Start date is immediate, with flexibility for the right candidate. If you are not based in New York, we can accommodate remote work for an initial period and offer relocation assistance on a case-by-case basis.
