Job Description

Build AI contracting at enterprise scale. Ship it fast.

Ironclad is building AI on one of the most consequential datasets in enterprise software: over 2 billion contracts across thousands of the world's largest organizations. Contracts run every dollar, deal, and business relationship on the planet, and the AI transformation of this space is still largely uncharted. Engineers here are building agentic solutions to problems that haven't been solved yet, in a category that's still being defined. The feedback loop is short, the data is rich, and the people closest to the work are the ones deciding what gets built next. That ability to deliver impact quickly is why the the companies at the forefront of AI choose Ironclad to manage their contracts.

We’re consistently recognized as a leader in the industry: a Leader in the Forrester Wave and Gartner Magic Quadrant for Contract Lifecycle Management, a Fortune Great Place to Work, and one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Workplaces. Ironclad has also been named to Forbes’ AI 50 and Business Insider’s list of Companies to Bet Your Career On. We’re backed by leading investors including Accel, Y Combinator, Sequoia, BOND, and Franklin Templeton. For more information, visit www.ironcladapp.com or follow us on LinkedIn.

This PM will own the features and systems that bring contract data into Ironclad and make it useful within the core product experience. This includes importing contracts and related metadata from customer systems, transforming it into reliable and connected knowledge, and exporting data and insights back into the tools and processes customers depend on.

We are looking for a Staff Product Manager to bring Ironclad’s strategy to life for the next generation of context-aware products and AI agents. You will define how contract data is ingested, normalized, enriched, connected, governed, and made available across the platform—powering our context knowledge graph and enabling AI agents, search, analytics, and workflows to reason over a customer’s business. You will develop strategies that ensure data is accurate and trustworthy. On top of that context knowledge graph you will build the agent experiences that turn this imported data into action: predicting cycle times, routing work, identifying risk, reconciling contract terms with external systems, and surfacing recommendations to the right people at the right time.

This role sits at the intersection of customer problems, data architecture, product strategy, and AI. You will determine which data Ironclad needs to capture, how it should be represented, how we preserve meaning and provenance as it moves through the platform, and how customers can trust, correct, and act on it. You will partner closely with the Search and Contract Understanding Platform, whose team turns contracts into accurate, structured, actionable knowledge. Together, you will create a durable data foundation that makes that knowledge available across products and connected to the systems and business context around it.

This is a high-impact role for a product leader who can move comfortably between customer discovery, data modeling, technical architecture, detailed requirements, and cross-functional execution.

Responsibilities

  • Own the data import experience and product features. Make it easy for customers to bring in contracts and metadata from communications platforms, 3rd party repositories, shared drives, and other business applications while preserving structure, relationships, permissions, and provenance.

  • Build upon Ironclad’s context knowledge graph foundation. Define how contracts, clauses, terms, entities, workflows, approvals, counterparties, obligations, and related business objects are connected so Ironclad can provide context—not just isolated fields—to users and AI systems.

  • Make data useful across the platform. Establish the shared schemas, APIs, events, identifiers, lineage, and access patterns that let Search, Smart Import, Workflows, Analytics, and AI Agents build on consistent, trusted data. Ensure imported data can support both interactive experiences and background agents that continuously monitor, predict, validate, and act throughout the contracting process.

  • Build AI agents on imported data. Partner with AI, Engineering, Design, and domain experts to identify high-value agent use cases, define the data and context each agent needs, and ship agents that predict, recommend, triage, validate, reconcile, and execute work across legal, procurement, sales, finance, and operations. Own the quality bar for agent behavior, including grounding, explainability, human-in-the-loop controls, evaluation, monitoring, and safe failure modes.

  • Create a data quality and trust flywheel. Define completeness, accuracy, freshness, consistency, lineage, and coverage metrics; build feedback loops; and ensure customers can understand, validate, correct, and improve the data powering their experiences.

  • Partner on contract understanding. Work closely with the Contract Understanding Platform team on the boundaries between ingestion, extraction, enrichment, graph construction, and serving—so data is built once, improved continuously, and reusable everywhere.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product management experience, including staff-level ownership in a data rich environment with a proven track record of building user-facing experiences.

  • Zero-to-one product development experience building AI solutions. This is a role that requires conceptual thinking about how to build AI capabilities that leverage Ironclad's vast pool of data.

  • Strong quantitative judgment and experience defining metrics, instrumentation, quality thresholds, and feedback loops for data and platform products.

  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment (Series B through IPO).

  • Enterprise-product judgment where trust, security, compliance, portability, and workflow integration matter.

  • Excellent customer empathy, written communication, and ability to make complex technical and product concepts clear to diverse audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence across Engineering, Design, Data, AI, GTM, and executive stakeholders.

  • Experience with contract lifecycle management, document AI, legal technology, data migrations, or knowledge graphs is a plus, not a requirement.
