The Staff Psychiatrist is an important member of our healthcare team that provides comprehensive psychiatry care to patients living with HIV. The Staff Psychiatrist works autonomously as well as in collaboration with a variety of staff including medical providers and behavioral health therapists to diagnose and manage patients' psychiatric and behavioral health care problems. The Behavioral Health program is also integrated into the medical home and the Staff Psychiatrist collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to help address patient's medical and psychosocial needs. Participation in the development, expansion, and maintenance of the Vivent Health Behavioral Health and Psychiatry program is expected.

Essential Job Duties
- Provide direct psychiatry services to people accessing the Vivent Health Center. Care includes, but is not limited to a comprehensive psychiatry history, exam, assessment and development of a treatment plan. Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies as needed.
- Prescribe or recommend pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies including controlled substances as the law permits.
- Document treatment services provided or recommended in the Epic EHR.
- Assess patient needs for additional internal (e.g., case management) and external services. Refer and assist patients to ensure access to additional supportive services.
- Follow clinic protocols and procedures in providing and documenting services.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and continuing education activities to enhance clinical practice and patient outcomes.
- Continually update own knowledge of Psychiatry and HIV/AIDS through reading, conference attendance, lectures and other educational opportunities.
- Comply with the Vivent Health's Corporate Compliance Standards of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- May be responsible for the administrative management and supervision of the Psychiatry practitioners.
- Perform any and all other duties assigned by the Psychiatry Program Director and/or Chief Medical Officer.
- Adhere to all agency policies, including but not limited to Confidentiality, Employee Handbook, Health Care Corporate Compliance Plan, Standards of Conduct, training, and other relevant policies.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Required and preferred knowledge and experiences to succeed.
Education:
MD or DO degree from an accredited program.
Work Experience:
Minimum of 2 years' experience in outpatient Psychiatry clinic setting preferred.
Technical Experience:
Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology.
Licensure/Certification:
Board certification in Psychiatry.
Current unrestricted medical license in the state of practice and any adjacent states as needed.
Valid DEA license or the ability to obtain DEA licensure.
Soft Skills:
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to providing integrated and patient-centered care with compassion and respect.
Experience working in HIV/AIDS care, LGBT+ care and/or substance use treatment preferred.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
HIV experience in a not-for-profit environment.

Pay Rate
Starting at $270,000/annually (Depending on Experience)
The final salary will be determined based on factors such as market data, internal equity, candidate experience and qualifications. Please note that it is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range.
