About the OpportunityA well-established public accounting firm based in San Francisco is seeking a Staff Accountant – Tax to join its growing team. This firm provides a full range of services including audit, tax, and advisory support to a diverse client base, including closely held businesses, nonprofit organizations, and high-net-worth individuals. Position OverviewThe Staff Accountant will support tax preparation and assist with audit and accounting engagements. This individual will work closely with senior team members and gain hands-on experience across multiple clients and industries.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and estate/trust income tax returnsAssist with financial statement audits, reviews, and compilationsSupport tax compliance and preparation engagements across a variety of clientsWork on multiple engagements while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standardsCollaborate with internal teams and communicate effectively with clients

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or Business (with an emphasis in Accounting)CPA license or active pursuit of CPA certification preferredUnderstanding of tax and/or audit principlesStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilities
