Max billrate: 100% Onsite-Mon-Fri, 8-5pm with 1hr lunchNo travel requiredInterview process: Teams interview, then onsite interview with CAD test/demonstration required.We are seeking a contract CAD Technician to support engineering, maintenance,and operations teams with the creation, revision, control, and management oftechnical drawings and related project documentation. This role will focus ondeveloping and maintaining accurate CAD drawings, supporting design detailingfrom initial engineering concepts, and ensuring drawing updates are properlyreviewed, documented, and controlled within the established drawingmanagement/PDM system.The CAD Technician will work closely with engineers to convert conceptual ormodeled designs into complete drawing packages, update existing drawings basedon field conditions, field markups, legacy drawings, or project changes, andmaintain drawing accuracy throughout the revision process. This position will alsosupport project documentation needs, including drawing organization, redlineincorporation, legacy drawing digitization, revision tracking, basic engineeringcomputations, specification updates, and coordination of supporting technicalinformation.In addition to supporting the engineering team, this role will interface with internalcustomers, primarily operations and maintenance personnel, to document requests,retrieve existing drawings, clarify drawing needs, and help ensure accuratetechnical information is available to support daily plant activities, troubleshooting,and project execution.The ideal candidate will have strong CAD drafting capability, experience working ina controlled documentation environment, attention to detail, and the ability tocommunicate effectively with engineering and plant personnel. Experience withSolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD platforms is preferred, along with familiaritywith PDM or drawing vault systems, manufacturing environments, mechanical orelectrical equipment documentation, and continuous improvement ofdrawing/documentation workflows.EDUCATION
" Associate degree or 2-year technical degree in CAD/CAM, MechanicalEngineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology,Electromechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology
" Minimum of 3 years of relevant CAD drafting, design support,manufacturing documentation, or engineering support experience.Required Skills:Candidates must possess the following:
" Proficiency with SolidWorks or comparable 3D CAD software.
" Ability to create, revise, and maintain detailed drawings and drawingpackages.
" Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and manufacturingdrawings.
" Working knowledge of GD&T and standard drafting practices.
" Experience updating drawings from redlines, field changes,engineering input, or project documentation.
" Experience converting legacy drawings, sketches, field markups, orother source documentation into accurate, controlled CAD drawings.
" Ability to support basic engineering calculations and prepare or revisetechnical specifications under engineering direction.
" Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general computer-baseddocumentation tools.
" Strong attention to detail, organization, and document controldiscipline.
" Ability to identify and recommend improvements to standard drawing,documentation, and workflow processes.
" Able to train new employees or team members on established drawingmanagement, CAD, and documentation procedures.
" Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of ateam, with the ability to follow through on tasks with minimalsupervision while coordinating effectively with engineering,maintenance, and operations personnel.
" Strong verbal and written communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:
" Experience with AutoCAD.
" Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or plant engineeringenvironment.
" Familiarity with SolidWorks PDM or similar drawing vault/documentcontrol systems.
" Experience supporting mechanical and/or electrical equipmentdocumentation.
" Familiarity with revision control, drawing release processes, andcontrolled documentation practices.
" Hands-on understanding of manufacturing equipment, maintenanceneeds, or field installation details.
" Experience with additive manufacturing or 3D printing is a plus.
