Overview
Job Description
Compensation: $45,000 to $55,000 base depending on experience, plus a fill-rate bonus. Type: W-2 full-time, salaried. Location: Charlotte, NC, covering Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Union, Gaston and York counties.
The role
You fill the calendar. Every client order in the Charlotte market comes to you, and you turn it into a confirmed crew: the right people, the right count, a designated Event Lead, confirmations sent, no-shows covered before the client notices. You also own the top of the funnel: screening applicants, running orientation, and keeping the bench deep enough to say yes.
Charlotte is our next full market, with a commitment to a 100-person W-2 hospitality team by the end of 2027. The Staffing Manager is how those jobs turn into shifts.
What you own
- Scheduling: build and confirm crews for every event; publish schedules ahead so people know their next 30 days
- Fill rate and show rate for the market, with a standby plan for every large function
- Applicant flow: screen Manatal applicants daily, run phone screens, schedule orientation, and move people to shift-ready inside a week
- Onboarding paperwork completion and compliance (I-9, E-Verify, certifications) in partnership with HR
- Bench health: who is active, who is drifting, who is ready for Captain School
What the right candidate brings
- 2 or more years in staffing, hospitality scheduling, or high-volume recruiting coordination
- Comfort with an ATS and scheduling tools; you keep records clean because the next shift depends on it
- A phone presence that gets people to show up
- Calm under a Friday-afternoon call-out
- Reliable transportation; some evenings and weekends when events run
What you get
- $45,000 to $55,000 base plus fill-rate bonus, W-2, paid biweekly
- Reports to the Director of Hospitality Operations; a path to Event Operations Manager or market leadership
- Captain School and the firm's leadership development as you grow
Who we are
The Wilkinson Firm is a premium hospitality and event staffing employer. Every hire is a W-2 employee, not a contractor. We train before the first shift, run a paid leadership program called Captain School, rewrite resumes, run mock interviews, and promote from inside. Our clients are hotels, conference centers, caterers and venues. We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.
How to apply
Apply with a resume or a short work history. We respond to every application.
