Job Summary:
A Stagehand is a skilled union technician responsible for the safe and efficient execution of live events. Working within established craft jurisdictions and under the direction of Department Heads, you will support the installation, operation, and removal of production elements for corporate, educational, and live entertainment productions.
This is a union stage crew role. Any successful candidate will be required to join IATSE Local #13 and fulfill membership requirements.
In-person interviews will be held the week of May 18-22, 2026. If selected for an interview, the recruitment team will coordinate a time and date with you that week.
General Duties/Responsibilities:
- Load in and load out production equipment in accordance with established IATSE practices
- Assemble and disassemble staging, rigging, truss, scenery, and other structural elements
- Assist with the installation and operation of lighting, audio, video, and automation systems within assigned departments
- Perform all duties safely in compliance with applicable IATSE safety standards and venue regulations
- Follow direction from Department Heads while maintaining professional work standards
- Maintain proper care, handling, and organization of tools and equipment
- Support production needs while respecting the scope of work assigned to each department
- Participate in rehearsals, show calls, and strikes as assigned
Qualifications/Skill Requirements:
- Demonstrated knowledge of stagecraft fundamentals and industry terminology
- Ability to work effectively within a structured crew environment and chain of command
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Must maintain proper work attire and footwear in accordance with union guidelines and event requirements
- A background check will be initiated in accordance with state and federal law after a contingent offer of employment.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver equipment weighing 50 lbs or more
- Capability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
- Comfort working in varying environmental conditions

The US base salary for this part-time position is $29/hour plus benefits as applicable.
