Job Description
Design Build Machanical, a Crete United company, specializes in the new construction, renovation, and retrofit of commercial and industrial facilities. We utilize the Design Build concept to minimize a project’s timeline while adhering to the customer’s budget. We provide engineering design, installation and support service in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, and Florida.
Requirements for New Construction HVAC Technician:
- Reading & understanding blueprints for new construction projects and what HVAC strategy is needed
- Working with internal Project Manager & Superintendent and job site Superintendent
- Coordinating and commissioning VRF systems
- Installing and testing copper line sets
- Installing and terminating low-voltage control on new equipment
- Installing, connecting and testing wall thermostats, carbon monoxide monitors, smoke detectors, etc. and linking fan and louver interlocks
- Perform smoke tests for Fire Marshall
- Preplanning and startup of installed equipment. Collaborating with technical support and engineering professionals to create product definitions and instructions to start up installed equipment if needed
- Troubleshooting & repairing any HVAC issues at start up
- Repairing HVAC units installed under our 1st year warranty
