Starting Pig Specialist will work with farm staff during the nursery stage of production in wean to finish production sites.

Responsibilities & Duties:

* Train & assist farm staff during the nursery stage of production:

o* Preplacement site inspections

o* Initial stocking plans

o* Sorting & Treating

o* Mat & Gruel Feeding

* Ability to troubleshoot & adjust heating & ventilation systems.

* Assessing health issues and the ability to perform on farm diagnostics

Requirements

Requirements:

* Excellent verbal & written communication skills.

* Excellent organizational & time management skills.

* Prior swine management experience.

* Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.

* Travel – across Iowa with possible overnight stays
