Job Description
As a State Capitol Parks Technician with OMES you will enjoy:

Job Details
Full-time 40-hour work weeks.
Support the Capital Assets Management team.
Salary up to: $50,000 based on education and experience.
Responsibilities
Perform daily inspections and upkeep of park grounds.
Assist Capitol Parks Administrator in planning, scheduling, and performing work on a variety of projects.
Install and maintain landscapes. Digging, planting, pruning; performing tasks to ensure outdoor areas are attractive, tidy, and safe.
Operate and maintain park maintenance equipment, including a small fleet of autonomous lawn mowers.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, follow safety protocols, and communicate effectively.
Install, repair, and maintain park irrigation systems.
Respond promptly to emergency situations or repairs.
Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations, read and interpret sketches and diagrams, computer work including managing tasks and work orders in CMMS/WMS, communicate and coordinate via email, etc.
Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- This position works in both an office and outside, exposed to environmental elements for large percentages of the workday. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild/loud and could require safety equipment. This position requires frequent standing, bending, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds and use of ladders. Occasional travel may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
2 years of experience in park or trail maintenance, irrigation, arborist
