Your meticulous attention to detail will ensure instruments meet quality and sterilization standards. You will oversee the operation of sterilization equipment such as steam under pressure, Steris, and Sterrad systems, and monitor sterilization processes to guarantee compliance. Additionally, you will respond promptly to urgent requests from clinical staff, supporting the smooth operation of surgical procedures.Required Skills:

• Successful completion of a nationally accredited Central Service Technician exam and certification, or evidence of at least one year of employment as a Central Service Technician in a healthcare facility
• Knowledge of sterilization techniques and aseptic procedures
• Ability to operate sterilization equipment, including steam sterilizers and sterilization systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good communication skills and ability to respond effectively to urgent needs
• Compliance with pre-employment health clearance requirements

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with complex surgical set assembly
• Familiarity with sterilization monitoring and record keeping
• Additional certifications in sterilization or surgical instrumentation

Preferred Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Central Service Technician or similar role in healthcare

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work night shifts (hours: 8-hour night shift)
• Valid certification or equivalent experience in sterilization
• Willingness to respond to urgent requests and accommodate emergency situations
• Compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations
