Job Description

Position

Eikon Therapeutics is seeking a Stock Administration Senior Manager to lead and scale the company's equity administration function during a period of significant growth and increased regulatory complexity. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of equity program administration, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence as the company transitions to operating as a public company. This position will partner closely with senior leadership across Finance, Legal, Total Rewards, Payroll, HR Operations, and external vendors, translating company strategy into effective equity administration practices. This role requires a strategic, detail-oriented leader who can operate in ambiguity, make sound decisions with long-term impact, and direct operational execution across multiple stakeholders.

About You

You are a strategic, battle-tested stock administration leader who thrives in complex, fast-moving environments. You bring deep expertise in equity programs and understand the importance of precision, controls, and compliance - particularly as companies scale toward or operate as public entities. You are comfortable partnering with senior leaders, reconciling differing stakeholder perspectives, and guiding decisions that have lasting impact on employees and the organization. You balance hands-on execution with strategic oversight, and you enjoy building scalable processes, developing teams, and continuously improving how equity programs are administered and communicated.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the company's stock administration function, overseeing all aspects of equity plan administration, including grants, vesting, exercises, releases, cancellations, and terminations.
  • Oversee administration of the company's equity programs, including stock options, RSUs, and ESPPs.
  • Partner closely with the rest of Finance to ensure accurate data inputs, compliance with internal controls, and proper accounting treatment.
  • Perform stock-based compensation calculations under ASC 718 and other relevant accounting guidance
  • Perform analyses related to stock awards, which may include stock-based compensation forecasts, stock option repricing's and other stock option modifications.
  • Maintain and monitor the equity pool, tracking share utilization, burn rate, and forecasting future equity needs.
  • Prepare internal process documentation, support audit requests, and maintain governance materials.
  • Ensure accurate and compliant administration of equity programs in accordance with plan documents, SEC regulations, tax requirements, and company policies.
  • Partner with senior leadership to support equity strategy execution, including new grants, refresh programs, and equity-related initiatives.
  • Oversee relationships with external stock administration vendors, transfer agents, and advisors, ensuring strong service delivery and data integrity.
  • Stay current on FASB and SEC pronouncements related to stock-based compensation accounting and interpret impact to the company in partnership with internal partners and external auditors and identify, research, and prepare technical memoranda for complex transactions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Total Rewards, Payroll, HR Operations, and external auditors to support reporting, disclosures, audits, and controls.
  • Support SEC reporting and SOX compliance related to equity compensation, including controls, documentation, and audit readiness.
  • Translate broader business and compensation strategy into effective equity administration processes and workflows.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve policies, procedures, and controls to support scalability and risk mitigation.
  • Provide guidance and education to employees and leaders regarding equity programs, ensuring clarity, consistency, and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with global labor, tax, and securities laws, as well as pay transparency regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 6+ years of experience in Finance or HR with 6+ years of experience in stock administration, equity compensation, finance, legal operations, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience administering equity compensation programs in a high-growth public company environment.
  • Strong understanding of equity compensation vehicles, tax implications, and regulatory requirements (e.g., SEC, SOX).
  • Proven experience working on complex, ambiguous issues and translating business strategy into operational plans.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and navigating competing priorities to drive business outcomes.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience in biotech, life sciences, or another highly regulated industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with HRIS and equity management platforms such as Dayforce, Workday, Fidelity, and E*TRADE (Equity Edge Online).

At Eikon, employee compensation also includes bonus and equity compensation, in addition to several generous benefit programs, including:

  • 401k plan with company matching
  • Medical (premiums covered by Eikon at 95%), dental and vision insurance (premiums covered by Eikon at 100%)
