Job Description
Job Title: Struct & Payload Design Engr 3 Location: North Charleston, SC
Salary Range: $75 - $80/hour
Introduction
Join our dynamic team responsible for designing and developing structural and interior payload systems for the aviation industry. Work in a fast-paced environment where you will contribute to the entire product lifecycle, from concept to certification and delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical, or Material Sciences)
- 5 years of experience in engineering, including design, integration, and/or certification or equivalent combination of additional education and relevant experience
- Must have previous client experience working for this customer in the past 5 years
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding and demonstrated experience with FAA Title 14 Part 25 and/or EASA equivalent
- Experience in aerospace interiors, materials and properties, design criteria and release processes
- Experience in program or project management, leading project and/or program proposals of varying complexity
- Experience leading a cross-functional team
- Demonstrates good problem-solving skills and critical thinking
- Ability to use a variety of media to clearly convey information and ideas to a variety of audiences
- Demonstrated interest in continuous personal learning and development
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate, and document structural and interior payload system requirements
- Manage supplier development, test, and production activities
- Investigate emerging technologies for future product designs
- Validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
- Support customer configuration development, supplier engagement, and production integration
